You were never separate from nature.
You are soil. You are sunlight. You see that when staring at the self. The only animal that forgot which world it belonged to.
Nothing is wrong with you
You have tried the apps, the retreats, the protocols, the eight-week course. They helped a little. Then the feeling came back.
It came back because the ache was never a deficiency. It was a signal, and it was accurate. You live most of your hours indoors, under artificial light, on ground you never touch, eating food grown in soil that is nearly dead, and then you wonder what is wrong with you.
Nothing is wrong with you. Something is missing around you.
What I do
I write. A letter most Sundays. On light, ground, attention, family, and the quiet work of coming back. Short, plain, no advice you have to buy.
I record. to those who will miss me. Conversations about the things we usually save for the end. Death, beauty, lineage, and what we hand to the people who come after us.
I sit with people. One to one, and occasionally with teams who have realised burnout is not a scheduling problem.
Who is writing this
I am most of all a father, husband, and son. A Finnish mindfulness coach, writer, and sales consultant living in Catalonia.I spent fifteen years in sales across Europe, doing well at it and slowly disappearing inside it. What brought me back was not a method. It was curiosity to learn, it was morning light, cold water, a forest my ancestors have held for generations.I am not further along than you. I have just been paying attention longer in one particular direction.
